The ProfiLux 4.1 puts ambitious aquarists in complete control of every aspect of their aquarium. Integrated measurement modules for temperature, pH, redox/ORP, and conductivity (switchable fresh/saltwater) monitor your water continuously – with alarm functions and data logging included as standard.
The 32-channel lighting control simulates clouds, storms, moon phases, seasonal changes, and natural sunrises and sunsets. Combined with dimmable GHL lights, it creates a vivid lighting environment that promotes the species-specific behavior of your animals.
The ProfiLux 4.1 connects via WiFi, LAN (Ethernet), and USB – for maximum flexibility in choosing the most reliable connection. The wired LAN port delivers the stable network connectivity that demanding installations require. OTA firmware updates are applied wirelessly or via network – no USB cable needed. Via the GHL Connect app, the built-in webserver, or the myGHL cloud service, you have access to your aquarium at any time. GHL Connect and GHL Control Center work fully locally – no internet connection, no cloud dependency.
ProfiLuxOS – GHL’s operating system developed specifically for aquarium control – runs the controller around the clock. Not a general-purpose OS adapted for aquariums, but one built from the ground up with a single goal: keeping your aquarium safe.
The ProfiLux Aquatic Bus (PAB) connects Powerbars, GHL Dosers, and Expansion Boxes reliably over cable lengths of up to 100 meters. Three expansion card slots allow retrofitting of additional measurement inputs for pH, redox, conductivity, and more. For precise dosing, continuous alkalinity monitoring, or ion measurement, GHL Doser, KH Director, and ION Director integrate seamlessly via PAB. Developed and manufactured in Germany.

Difference Between ProfiLux 4.1 and ProfiLux 4.0
The ProfiLux 4.1 takes connectivity further versus the ProfiLux 4.0: in addition to WiFi and USB, it adds a LAN port (Ethernet) and supports OTA firmware updates – wirelessly or via network, no USB required.

ProfiLux 4.1 includes a large selection of expansion options to suit the needs of any aquarist. When you need to add more functions, simply add an expansion card to one of the available expansion slots. No need to buy additional modules, just pop the card in and you’re good to go.
Between Expansion Cards and Expansion Boxes, you can expand the ProfiLux to nearly no limit!
