Any coral with “Superman” in its name has to be pretty sweet, right? You Superman Monti fans know what I am talking about. Well, the Tyree Superman Tenius does its Man of Steel namesake proud with its vivid blue branches and contrasting reddish/burgundy polyps. According to the Reeffarmers website, the Tyree Superman Tenuis was originally acquired by Dennis of Law Office Aquariums. Over time the piece developed into a stunner and captured the attention of serious SPS collectors.
The Tyree Superman Tenuis requires moderate to strong lighting and will do fine when given the proper PAR under T5s, metal halides and LEDs. I would recommend placing a frag in the top half of the tank, which is where mine resides under a 400W 20,000K Radium bulb. As for circulation, medium to strong flow is required to keep the coral happy. The Tyree Superman Tenuis is no slouch when compared to other beautiful Tenuis corals available in the marketplace today. It does not have the same wow factor as a Walt Disney Tenuis but it is a gorgeous limited edition coral that is hard to find. A must have for any serious stick head!
